Team Store
Army Crew’s team store closes tomorrow (apologies for the late notice!) Hop on and order some swag for the holidays, or refresh your worn out collection from previous years. I know my beanie and duffle bag are looking pretty worn almost 20 years after I got them.

Early Season Update
For the past month, the Army Crew Team has been working hard in preparation for their first race of the season. At the beginning of the month, the newest members of our team proudly received their Army Crew Gear. This year we accepted a total of 32 new members of the team growing our program to 72 people in total! Throughout the weekends, our S2 team (headed by our fearless Cow Ronan Engel) has been able to organize morale and spirit events to get to know our newest members. We’ve been fortunate enough this month to get out on the Hudson River and practice every day, unusual for the Hudson! These conditions, along with the gritty morning practices to the top of the radio tower and Michie steps, has prepared the team with the cardio base needed to build off of throughout the rest of Fall race season. Fortunately, we’ve emphasized safety a lot at the beginning of the year and can proudly state that we have had zero skegs breaks or major accidents happen within the past month.
Growth and Grit at the Head of the Riverfront 2024
The Army Crew teams put forth a commendable effort at the 2024 Head of the Riverfront Regatta, showcasing resilience and improvement across events. While the competition was fierce, especially in the Open categories, the cadets remained steadfast and learned valuable lessons on the water.
In the Open 8+ races, the Men placed 12th, 18th, and 25th of 25 teams, finishing 1:17 behind the leading crew, while the Women secured 17th and 32nd out of 33 boats, closing the gap to 1:45 behind the leaders. The Men's Open 4+ placed 8th and 18th out of 22, with the top boat only 1:02 off the winning pace. In one of the team’s best performances of the weekend, the Women’s Open 4+ finished 5th out of 22, just 9 seconds shy of first place, demonstrating Army's ability to compete among the top teams.
The Novice crews also gained valuable experience. The Men's Novice 8+ had a strong showing, earning 2nd of 5 and missing first place by just 33 seconds. On the women's side, the Novice 4+ took 3rd of 5, while the Novice 8+ came in 5th, pushing through a challenging race 4:40 behind the lead boat.
